Meeting Mind is designed with privacy at its core. We believe your meeting data should remain yours.
All processing happens locally on your Mac by default. Your meeting recordings, transcriptions, and summaries are processed entirely on your device using WhisperKit and local AI models. Your data never leaves your computer unless you explicitly choose to use cloud services.
Meeting Mind does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information or meeting content to our servers. We have no access to:
If you choose to use OpenRouter for AI summaries instead of local processing:
We collect anonymous, aggregated analytics through Apple's App Store to understand:
This data is completely anonymous, cannot be linked to individual users, and is managed entirely by Apple according to their privacy standards.
All your data is stored locally on your Mac:
Meeting Mind requests the following permissions only when needed:
These permissions can be revoked at any time through System Settings.
What We Capture: Meeting Mind uses macOS Screen Recording permission exclusively to access system audio output from your computer (such as audio from Zoom meetings). This is a technical requirement of Apple's ScreenCaptureKit API.
What We Do NOT Capture: No video, screenshots, screen pixels, window contents, or any visual information is recorded or processed. The screen recording permission is used solely for audio capture.
How It's Used: System audio is combined with microphone input to create complete meeting recordings. The audio is then transcribed locally on your Mac using WhisperKit or Apple Speech Recognition.
Where It's Stored: All audio recordings are saved to directories you choose on your Mac (typically Desktop or Downloads). Files remain entirely on your device.
Third-Party Sharing: Audio files are never transmitted to any external servers. If you optionally enable OpenRouter for AI summaries, only the transcript text (not audio) is sent via secure HTTPS.
Data Retention: You have complete control over all recordings. Files can be deleted at any time through Finder. Uninstalling the app removes all app-specific data.
User Control: System audio capture can be disabled at any time (microphone-only mode is available). The screen recording permission can be revoked through macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording.
Your data security is ensured through:
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
